For the rising West Coast rap artist Immense, getting to the top has been a long and hard fought road to victory!
After a layoff which consisted of recuperating from being hit by a SUV as a pedestrian, Immense appreciation for life has taken a dynamic turn. With that in mind, how does one make the industry take notice again and get his buzz even higher than what it was once before? For Immense it’s simple, you keep under the creative mentorship of Tone Toven, ( who has blessed many industry notables with his artistic Zen) , and Tone’s childhood friend Big U, whose powerful presence in the music industry has already handcrafted a West Coast young gun by the name of Nipsey Hussle.
The story of Immense is what rap legends are made of. He grew up in the unforgiving streets of Los Angeles, CA as the nephew of an “original gangster” and as the brother of a former big time drug hustler.
During his teen age years, Immense had a love for computers. It was that love that made him into a gifted student who had a compulsion for reading mystery books during the daytime even though he was hanging out in the streets being a motivated hustler during the night. He’s also been unjustly trialed for crimes he didn’t commit (in which he could have earned 7 years in prison) and miraculously made a superb recovery from a near fatal stabbing. Immense has even used his life experiences, such as his mother dying when he was young and him being raised in the church by his loving grandmother, as sources of inspiration for his music.
Rebelvision was delighted to interview and catch up with the person who is known for putting out the stellar “Protect the West” mix-tape series. Here is our exclusive interview with west coast rap artist Immense. Enjoy!
